Family Clinics

Clinics, includes family clinics:
  1. Rockn Bee offers two types of informational clinics; whole day (6 hours) and ½ day (4 hours). Fees are $50 per participant for whole day clinics and/or $25 per participant for ½ day clinics.

  2. Family informational clinics are always 4 hours. (This is a great bonding opportunity for families).

  3. Most of the time, clinic attendees will work with Rockn Bee horses. If you want to bring your own horse, there is no extra charge.

  4. Participant's horses must be healthy and have proof of negative Coggins test results. All shots must be current and you must have your horse on a good de-worming program. Your horse must be manageable and be well mannered while on the Rockn Bee premises.

  5. Clinics are limited to 3 participants, so we can better focus our attention on each rider's needs.

  6. All clinic participants must sign a hold harmless agreement, per the Wyoming Statutes

Learn from owner/trainer Betty Burlingame, and from her horses who like to teach people. Experience the joy and personal growth that comes from working (and playing) with horses that cooperate, willingly accept and socially interact with people.

See the difference between horses who are encouraged to participate in their training and those who are taught to "comply" only.

At the Rockn Bee, horses communicate freely because they have someone who listens to them and works with their natural instincts to build horses with character and self confidence.

This training program is mirrored in Betty's efficacy and self-awareness mentoring programs with young people. We provide the vital link for optimum growth and development between people and horses.

What we do is technically referred to as "transpersonal communication and education". We call it common sense and "FUN". At the Rockn Bee you will observe, participate and find out:

  • How to "listen" to horses

  • How to recognize when you don't have the "right horse for you"

  • How and when to let go of the wrong horse

  • How and when to get help with your horse

  • How to recognize a good horse trainer

  • How to properly use and fit tack to your horse

  • How much of your personal resources (time and money) your horse will take

  • The value of a good nutrition program for your horse

  • How, with proper mentoring, horses help develop efficacy and positive self-awareness in young people

Other services provided at Rockn Bee Family Clinics:

  • Horse facility layout and pasture management consultation

  • Consultation & evaluation for purchasing a horse

  • Healing Touch treatments for horses

Safety for horse, rider and trainer is a paramount concern at the Rockn Bee.
