Horse Boarding

To prospective horse boarders, please remember...a full care boarding facility provides basic care for your horse. The Rockn Bee is NOT an equine nursing home. It is a horse owner's responsibility to take care of needs beyond basic feeding, watering and pen cleaning. A boarding facility manages its resources so horses are provided basic, fundamental care.
Boarding agreements are contracts that spell out the responsibilities of each component of the contract, i.e., horse owner and facility manager. Remember to keep your commitments and compensate the boarding facility in a timely manner for your horse's care. Use common sense, and call a vet when your horse needs one. The Rockn Bee requires at least ONE annual vet check for your horse. Emergency vet care is contractually negotiated. You can't abdicate horse ownership. You either own your horse... or you don't.

Sunny & Barn

We now offer boarding
with a 30'X 30' run and
a 8' X 12' shelter from wind, rain
and sun. Please call for an appointment
to visit our facility. We can discuss
how to set up your horse's run at
the time of the visit. Please allow
one week's time to prepare your horse's
shelter and run to your specifications.
The unfinished barn interior is displayed

meal in its shadow.

All boarding fees are due on the first of the month. If payments are not received by the first of the month, the Rockn Bee will assess a $2 per day late fee for each day the payment is overdue. If you think you will be late with your payment, please discuss with the owner how and when you anticipate paying the amount owed and the late fee. Horse ownership is expensive. Getting behind on your payments is very difficult to make up. Your horse has daily needs and the Rockn Bee will provide those needs as long as you pay for the services we provide.

A signed boarding agreement is required before you can move your horse onto the premises. Pro-rata fees will be accepted if a horse is brought in mid-month. Horses must be healthy and have proof of negative Coggins test results. All shots must be current and you must have your horse on a good de-worming program. Your horse must be manageable and be well mannered while on the Rockn Bee premises.

Boarding Fees:

Full service $150 per month
Includes:

Hay, feeding twice per day, clean water, clean stall & shelter, use of round pen, arena and open field to ride: $150 per month.
If you want wood shavings for your horse, you provide the shavings. Some horses are allergic to wood shavings, and we will not assume responsibility for introducing your horse to a new allergen. Always know the source of your
shavings, and the type of wood. Walnut shavings will cause laminitis
in your horse. It is best to avoid redwood and cedar shavings for horses.

Ala carte rates (the more you do, the more you save):
IF:
  1. You buy your own hay, subtract $45.00 from full service fee. You must have 20 bales of good clean hay in storage and available to feed each month
  2. You clean and fill water tank, clean your own stall/run, at least once each week: subtract $15.00 from full service fee.
  3. You feed your horse twice each day, subtract $15.00 from full service fee.

Basic (you do all the work and provide your own hay) boarding rate is
$75.00 per month. You still get to use the arena, round pen and riding area.
